Good Evening,
We are a small start up that will be producing brandy. We are currently in the process of getting the applicable licensing that will make us eligible for contract distilling. Currently we are in the process of submitting our application for our wholesalers license, we are slightly confused on if we should have a warehouse already selected or could this be done in the future after we obtain our license.
We would definitely appreciate any help or leads that we can get on this subject.
Thanks alot.
If you are looking to add a Class 8 Liquor Wholesale license to an M1 Distillery license, you do not need a separate warehouse to obtain the license, you must use your licensed production facility address and then add any future warehouse space to your bonded space and wholesale license with the approval of the comptroller. If you don’t have a M1 then you aren’t eligible for a Class 8 Wholesale license. Hope that helps. Brian
Thanks a lot for the help.
Belts Logistics used to offer space inside their warehouses for liquor wholesalers to satisfy the warehouse requirement.
They fence off a space and Lou Berman would come out and approve it.
