Outdoor Service Reopening
On behalf of the members of the Maryland Distillers Guild, our industry welcomes the opportunity to reopen their outdoor spaces to spirits enthusiasts throughout the state. We’d like to extend our gratitude to Governor Hogan and Comptroller Peter Franchot for their enduring support of our industry throughout Maryland’s “Stay at Home” order. The easing of statutory provisions and willingness to offer new commercial options to our members has provided a lifeline for this industry during a time of uncertainty.
Starting at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 29, 2020, distilleries throughout Maryland are permitted to welcome consumers back for outdoor service. In order to reopen for service, Maryland’s distilleries and consumers are required to comply with specific restrictions, as laid out by Governor Hogan. We have compiled these guidelines so that our members and consumers are able to have the same expectations regarding the Governor’s guidance.
Existing options to purchase spirits to-go, or via delivery, from Maryland’s distilleries remain in effect. Thank you for your continued support of #MDSpirits.
*** Not all distilleries in Maryland will be reopening immediately. Each distillery may develop their own set of rules to ensure the health and safety of their staff, their patrons, and their communities. Please check your favorite distillery’s website or social media for updates to their schedules and policies.
