“Some local entrepreneurs were among those celebrating this week after the Washington County Board of Commissioners unanimously agreed to amend the county zoning law to allow distilleries.
The move also expands county zoning law to include microbreweries and pub breweries, said Jill Baker, deputy director of planning and zoning.
Nate Kraft, who testified during a Tuesday public hearing in support of the zoning amendment, said he was excited about the change in the law.
Kraft said he’d just received approval for federal licensing and now he can proceed with state licensing to produce craft whiskey and country cordials, such as apple-pie moonshine…” To continue reading, click here.
