9/30/2024 Distribution Panel Discussion
At the MDG quarterly meeting on 9/30/2024, there was a panel discussion on distribution featuring Brian Treacy of JB Thome & Co., Jamie Windon from LYON RUM, and Braeden Bumpers from McClintock Distilling. The moderator was Eli Breitburg-Smith from Baltimore Spirits Co., and the discussion covered a wide range of subjects on the Who, What, Where, How, and Why of distribution for craft producers. What’s your Stillage Telling You?
The sos Lallemand presentation will discuss the direct correlation between the strength of the waste water (environmental impact) and the efficiency of conversion of starch and sugar to alcohol. Poor conversion results in high levels of organics and makes disposing of thin stillage more difficult and costly and shows loss of yield.
