Sarah Klim, owner of Forgotten Path Spirits and Brewing, combines her passion for art and her formal education in microbiology to craft artisanal liqueurs, whiskeys, cordials, Irish creams, and eventually beers.
Her classic creations, like limoncello and amaretto, stay true to their original nature while her one-of-a-kind flavors, including lavender hibiscus liqueur, take the path less traveled. Each unique flavor stands out on its own, yet when combined, they create harmonious flavor profiles and a refreshing finish.
When creating new liqueurs, Sarah finds inspiration both in her art as well as in the grocery aisle. Some ingredients stick out to her more than others, fueling her creative side and sparking new ideas. She uses local, seasonal ingredients as much as possible and takes pride in creating a high-quality product for people to enjoy.
“Making liqueurs is the perfect combination of my schooling and love of art,” says Sarah. “I push myself to try different things and the end result is something you can’t find anywhere else.”
