From P.T. Wood, ACSA Guild Committee Chair…
Dear Distiller:
I hope as we close out the first quarter of 2018 and you start to realize the FET savings that you and ACSA worked so hard on. Please take a minute to reflect on what effect it would have on your business if we don’t make it permanent.
One of the most valuable tools we have in making the argument for permanence is the ACSA/IWSR/Park Street survey we do every year. It appears that we are so busy spending the $10.80 per proof gallon savings that we secured in December that we have forgotten this most important step. Please drop everything you are doing and fill out the survey now. This was one of the hardest fought victories our young industry has secured, it has taken years and countless hours to achieve. Don’t let it be a short won victory, it is up to each and everyone of us to do our part. WITHOUT THE DATA WE WILL NOT SUCEED!
To the handful that have taken the 15 or so minutes it takes and those that are filling it out as soon as they read this letter, THANK YOU!
As a reminder, the data collected will be treated confidentially, with special care being given to only release information in the aggregate. In other words, there will be no disclosure or release of information that would in any way be attributable to any one distillery. Responses will be kept confidential and released only as a part of the larger survey results. Therefore, the results will only be as strong as the number of distilleries who choose to participate.
If you have any questions, thoughts and/or concerns please do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to provide answers for this historic analysis. We know this data will help our industry and we are committed to doing everything we can to make it work. I know we can count on you for support and thank you in advance.
